Canon Pixma MG7700 Printer Driver Download for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux
Canon Pixma MG7700 is part of the same line of Canon photo inkjet MFP as a Canon Pixma MG6820 Wireless Inkjet all-in-one and Pixma MG5720 Wireless Inkjet all-in-one in B H Photo &-Video-Pro Audio, which is our editors choice budget MFP weighted toward home use. All three offer the picture quality above par for the inkjet MFP, but MG7720 is the only one of the three who added gray ink, give only a touch higher quality for color photos and quality are significantly higher for black and white photos.
Other enhancements include the ability to print on optical disc can be printed, Ethernet was added to the Wi-Fi and USB as the connection options, and NFC support to set up a wireless connection directly with the NFC-capable mobile phone. MG7720 also offers a slightly better claimed speed compared to the other two, but the difference is not enough to show on our tests. All three models come at the same speed in pages per minute (ppm) in our business applications suite, and MG7700 is slower than the other two for printing photos.
Like the printer Pixma MG7700 booking offer Wireless PictBridge, which Canon says are available on all models of the new camera that offers free Wi-Fi. There is no USB type A port, however, which means you can not connect to PictBridge camera via a USB cable or print from USB memory.
The basic feature of MFP is limited to printing, scanning and copying, including printing on optical disc. In addition, you can print from, but does not scan to memory card. The color of the 3.5-inch touch screen lets you both preview photos before printing and gives orders easily.
These printers also support mobile printing and scanning. Connects to your network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and you can print from and scan for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile phones and tablet through the access point on the network, as well as print though cloud-assuming the network connected to the Internet. If you download the Canon print app for your mobile phone or your tablet, you can also give commands to a particular web site including Dropbox, Google, Facebook, and Twitter — to send print jobs from these sites directly to the printer.
Paper capacity is sufficient for personal use, but surprisingly low for these expensive printers. 125-sheet paper tray for standard, plus the second tray for 20 sheets of photo paper 4-by-6-inch or 10 sheets of paper 5-by-7-inch, have the advantage of letting you switch between photos and paper documents without having to change each time, but it's still quite a bit to restrict printer using light-duty. Automatic duplexer (for printing two sides) is a welcome addition. For scanning, however, there is no automatic document feeder (ADF), which corresponds to the general emphasis on home printers, rather than Office-centric features.
Connect the printer via a USB cable instead of to the network, and you will not be able to print over the internet or from a web site, but you will still be able to print from and scan to mobile devices by connecting directly using Canon's equivalent of Wi-Fi direct. If your mobile phone or your tablet supports NFC, you can even connect the device by simply pressing for clear labeled NFC logo in the top right to the printer.
