Canon Pixma MP530 Series - The Pixma MP530 is two printer all-in-one inkjet Office in Canon oriented offerings. Photo enthusiasts will be disappointed by the lack of media card slots and preview LCD, but the printer has PictBridge port for direct printing from the camera. Automatic document feeder included a built-in duplexer and much appreciated; in fact, the only features of this shortage of Office all-in-one built-in networking capabilities. If you don't mind working around it, this is a hard worker who is almost perfect for creating an atmosphere of Home-Office; We have yet to see more Office-oriented all-in-one in this price range. When the network is your highest priority, try the Brother MFC-5840cn, but you will be happier with the quality of the prints and the MP530 scan. Canon's other Office all-in-one Pixma MP830 is, which provides faster speeds, media card slot, and also LCD Preview, but no network capabilities. It sits 18.5 inches wide, 11.4 inches deep, and 10.4 inches high and weighs 28 lbs are moderated. The automatic document feeder installed on top of the grip cover original page 30 scanner to copy or scan. The scanner platen can manage up to A4 size with the original, but using the ADF, you can scan up to legal size originals. Close the scanner hinges lift to accommodate the original thick, too.

MP530 has two options for paper input: tapes and also the auto sheet feeder. This setting is convenient if you frequently switch back and forth between plain paper and special paper also. Each can accommodate up to 150 sheets of plain paper. Auto sheet feeder folds out of the back of the printer while the tape slides out from the bottom. Both have adjustable paper guides to handle various sizes of paper. Output tray fold out from the body of the printer with the touch of a button, and also the extension of the flap folds out to corral more of the page. Unfortunately, while there is a door in the back of the printer to clear the paper jam, printer is not set up to handle a straight pass-through, which is sometimes problematic when you are printing on rigid media who refuse to bend, such as card stock.
The control panel is mounted on a "shelf" on the front of the printer. Two line text LCD lets you navigate the various menus, but it was not backlit. Special function key allows you to switch between copy, fax and scan tasks as well. To access the menu for each task, first press the button for the task, then press the menu button. Left, right, back, and also the OK button let you drill up and also down through a menu. Dedicated buttons allow you to change exposure, reduce or enlarge, and change the image quality when in mode copy. You can also change the type of paper (size and quality), as well as switch between auto sheet feeder and cassette also with a touch of a button. Rounding out the dedicated Fax control panel buttons (alphanumeric keypad and also recall), the task start button and stop button reset.
To access and replace the ink tanks, simply lift the rack control panel. The MP530 uses a system of five-ink: dye-based black, cyan, magenta, and yellow, and the black pigment-based. Printer ships with full ink cartridge, printhead and also or is labeled so you know where every tank. The light is mounted on the front of each tank tells the status of the tank: low ink, empty, and whether it is properly installed. Canon predicts that costs about 3 cents per page for black and white documents and 2 cents per page for color documents--very cheap, good for Canon printers and in the industry.
The Cano's Pixma MP530 has a fax function, making it a true hard working Office. We hope that also the network-ready, that would make it much needed in an environment of multiuser. Unfortunately, you can connect to it only via USB. You can get around it by connecting the MP530 to a router with a built-in print server or by purchasing a print server independently, but the network printer-ready is a much more elegant solution. On the other hand, supports Windows and Mac operating systems.
